As a child Dr. Ligons never did well on standardize tests. In the fourth grade, she performed so poorly on an exam, it was suggested she may need to repeat the grade. Her college and grad school entrance exams were no better. She worked hard to compensate for low test scores by enhancing her resume with extracurricular activities and work experiences. She even decided to only apply to graduate programs that didn’t require entrance exams due to her low score on the GRE.

When Dr. Ligons graduated with her PsyD, she was TERRIFIED to start studying for the EPPP. She was worried she would never pass the exam. Each time she tried to study she would become physically sick from intense anxiety. After months of avoidance, she decided to buckle down and went on to create a highly effective study plan; she would later name her plan the Snowball Study Method. This method helped her master the content and overcome her anxiety. She scored a 659 (passing score is 500) on the first attempt.

Dr. Ligons was so grateful to pass the exam on the first try, she began sharing her tips with others. In 2019, she was encouraged by a colleague to start officially coaching people given that she had already helped so many people to pass the exam. She has a strong commitment to provide affordable coaching services. Dr. Ligons is on a mission to create equity in the licensure process. She enjoys supporting people from various fields to pass their exams so they can go on to have fruitful careers.
